Mobile Boutique

Our mobile boutique is stocked with all sizes and styles of like-new and lightly-used women's clothing. We travel throughout West Michigan and work with women-centered organizations to set up mobile boutique events. Here's what to expect if you visit our mobile boutique trailer.

How You Can Help

There are many ways you can become a part of Redeemed Style Shop & Mobile Boutique's mission to serve women who are experiencing need or escaping danger.

We are always looking to partner with organizations that work with women dealing with unplanned pregnancies, recent incarceration, abuse, and trafficking. Additionally, donations of time, money, and clothing help us continue to do what we do!

Each person's life takes a different course. Your next step might be exhilarating or the most frightening one yet. But it's a step you must take, because life doesn't stand still. This past month, the women served by the Redeemed Mobile Boutique have left a lasting impression on me. Unlike me, they've faced domestic violence and lived with the shadow of fear.
To see the boost in confidence by showing each woman their best colors then shopping the boutique for outfits that make each feel their best. They were full of smiles and laughter together that day. They took that next step in feeling more confident in who they were created to be. It’s color and clothes but it is so much more than that…

A person observes a butterfly struggling to break free from its cocoon.
The butterfly manages to make a small hole, but its body is too large to emerge easily.
After a long struggle, the butterfly appears exhausted and still.
Driven by kindness, the person decides to help the butterfly by cutting open the cocoon with scissors.
The butterfly emerges easily, but its body is swollen, and its wings are shriveled and unable to support flight.
The person continues to watch, hoping the butterfly’s wings will expand, but nothing happens.
The butterfly spends the rest of its life unable to fly, crawling around with its shrunken body and shriveled wings.

The Lesson:
The person, in their eagerness to help, did not understand that the struggle to emerge from the cocoon is necessary for the butterfly to develop its wings and prepare for flight.
The struggle forces fluid from the butterfly’s body into its wings, strengthening them and preparing them for flight.
The story teaches us that struggles are often necessary for growth and development, and that we should not interfere with nature’s processes, as we may inadvertently hinder them.
It also highlights the importance of perseverance and facing challenges head-on, as these experiences can make us stronger and more resilient.

Our mission to help women stretches far beyond just the clothes. Tonight we hosted a journal night with a local mentor me group. A time to write out thoughts, dreams, prayers and goals. A time filled with laughter and connection that fills their cups and ours. We can’t wait to host them again next month. Our doors are always open, reach out if you have a local group who could use a night like this.

✨ Our story ✨

Holly Gort always knew she wanted to find a way to give back to women, and through her love of fashion and faith Redeemed style was born.

“It’s not just about the clothes, but about helping you feel like you. When you dress in clothing that makes you feel confident, beautiful, and comfortable, it has the ability to uplift your spirit and inspire you to embrace the potential of the future. Unfortunately, many women who are in the process of overcoming difficult circumstances may not always have access to clothing that fits their body, budget, and style.”

The first event that Holly held was with Grace’s Table in Grand Rapids. “Fifteen mommas were looking for everyday clothing to work attire. My hope when starting was to get each one 2-3 outfits. Once the need was put out into the community, the donations started pouring in! Literally needed a U-Haul to bring all the donations of clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories to the Grace’s Table home.” Holly says each mom took home bags and bags of clothing. After that event, the donations from the community just started pouring in. “My garage, attic, and lower level were packed with clothing. I wasn’t quite sure where to go!”

From there even more donations started to roll in. That’s when a friend reached out and asked if Redeemed could use a space to store all the donations. But she outgrew that space in just six months and needed a bigger space to sort donated items as well as to shop. Now Holly can host a conference room for meetings as well as Bible studies, classes, and activities along with a small kitchenette, shopping, dressing rooms, and a large sorting area.

To see this dream to help women in need become a reality has been a gift. Holly says she can see their confidence begin to grow during a time in life when many come to her struggling. These women walk away feeling seen, loved, appreciated, and redeemed. “To be redeemed means to be freed from whatever distresses or harms, to be transformed and made new,” said Holly. To these women, it is about much more than the clothes.

Last month we had some ladies from @aroundgracestable in to pick out some outfits and it was such a fun day. It never gets old seeing women feel good about themselves. This is exactly why we say it’s about more than just the clothes. It’s what the clothes bring out on the inside. That transformation from within 🦋

We had such a great time having mentors and their students from @mentormewestmichigan come and shop. These girls may have left with bags full of clothes but more importantly, they walked out our doors with a new sense of confidence and that is what it’s all about.
